Dr. Don Latham, Florida State University, PhD

Don Latham is a professor in the School of Information at Florida State University. His research focuses on information behavior of young adults, digital literacies, and young adult literature. He is co-editor of Literacy Engagement Through Peritextual Analysis in the Classroom (ALA/NCTE, 2019) and The Information Literacy Framework: Case Studies of Successful Implementation (Rowman & Littlefield, forthcoming). He has received research grants from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, OCLC/ALISE, the ALAN Foundation, and the Florida State University Council on Research and Creativity.

 

 

Dr. Melissa Gross, Florida State University, PhD

Melissa Gross is a professor in the School of Information at Florida State University and a past president of the Association for Library and Information Science Education (ALISE). In 1998 and was awarded the prestigious American Association of University Women Recognition Award for Emerging Scholars in 2001. She teaches and does research in the areas of information seeking behavior, resources for youth; research methods, the evaluation of library programs and services, information literacy, and teacher and librarian collaboration. She has received a variety of research grants and has published extensively in a number of peer-reviewed journals including Library and Information Science Research, Library Quarterly, Journal of the Association for Information Science & Technology, and College & Research Libraries. She has authored, co-authored, or co-edited ten books. Her forthcoming edited book, with co-editors Heidi Julien and Don Latham is The Information Literacy Framework: Case Studies of Successful Implementation (Rowman & Littlefield).

 

Felicia L. Warren, Florida State University, J.D.-M.S.I. Candidate

—Graduate Research Assistant

Felicia Warren (Fé) is a joint degree student seeking a J.D.-M.I.S. at Florida State University College of Law and School of Information. She currently works as a Graduate Research Assistant on this project as well as a Research Assistant at the College of Law. This semester Ms. Warren is interning at the FSU College of Law Research Center where she is learning to apply her MIS studies in a practical setting, such as the law library. Her career ambitions include working with state and federal government agencies to develop effective laws and policies. Specifically, Ms. Warren is interested in international law and foreign diplomacy matters. She has hopes of one day working for the Congressional Research Service at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Heidi Julien, University of Buffalo, PhD

Dr. Heidi Julien is a professor in the Department of Information Science at the University at Buffalo, SUNY. Her research has explored information literacy for over 20 years. She is a past-president of the Association for Library and Information Science Education (ALISE), and a past-president of the Canadian Association for Information Science.

 

 

Lindsey Moses, University of Buffalo

—Graduate Research Assistant

Lindsey Moses is a graduate student pursuing her M.S. in Information and Library Science at the University at Buffalo. She currently works as a Teen/Information Assistant at the South Brunswick Public Library, where she is primarily responsible for providing reference assistance and readers’ advisory services, as well as developing and implementing teen programs. Her professional interests include information literacy, reference services, young adult literature, and diversity and inclusion in libraries.
